Libro: Legacy: Images of a Family

Co-author of the book "The Boswell Legacy" with her daughter Kyla Titus, Vet "Chica" Boswell Minnerly was the only child of Helvetia Boswell, youngest member of the famous New Orleans vocal jazz trio of the 1930s, “The Boswell Sisters.” Chica passed away in 2010, leaving a family collection and legacy to Kyla, who co-wrote and published “The Boswell Legacy” in 2010 as well as greatly expanded 2nd edition in 2024.

In addition, years after Chica's death, Kyla discovered a secret manuscript in an old box in storage authored by Chica entitled “Legacy,” in which Chica shared her impressions of seven members of the Boswell family through short vignettes, or textual "images.” She decided to publish these writings but realized that actual photographic images of these family members could be included as well. She carefully selected photographic images from the private Boswell family collection--many of which have not been available before.

“Legacy: Images of a Family” is a poetic exposé of the Boswell Sisters, their mother, and their husbands in what will prove to be not only the perfect companion to "The Boswell Legacy" book, but a poignant work in its own right.
