12 Estudios técnicos-interpretativos para saxofon solo.Rica y variada es la literatura musical compuesta para el instrumento de Adolphe Sax.Desde que Adolphe Sax registrara su primera patente en 1846 numerosos compositores escribieron para el nuevo instrumento de Sax. El instrumento tuvo que adaptarse rápidamente a la literatura propuesta por diversos autores y a un listón interpretativo que ya marcaban instrumentos como “propius” la flauta y el clarinete.La versatilidad del saxofón fue creciendo conforme crecía su perfeccionamiento técnico, sin embargo, su timbre era algo nuevo para los oídos de la época y muy pocos autores apostarían de pleno por incorporarlo en la orquesta.Autores como Jules Demersseman (flautista) y Jean-Baptiste Singelée (violinista) , como se puede comprobar ninguno de ellos saxofonista...apostaron por la escritura vistuisística y lirica para este nuevo instrumento, sin embargo, pocos especialistas del instrumento de la época se comprometerían a escribir para el mismo.Marcel Mule y Sigurd Rascher construyeron los cimientos de los estudios técnicos - interpretativos que dieron paso a una literatura amplia , pilar decisivo en el desarrollo del saxofón clásico.Los 12 estudios técnico-interpretativos nacen de esta recuperación del saxofón clásico con una visión del siglo XXI.
